WHAT YOU’LL DO…
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for shipping customer orders in timely manner, on budget and without damage. Manage Inventory requirements for customer orders and support sales and project support departments with freight quotes ensuring Wekid covers all related shipping costs. The Logistics Coordinator analyses procedures to ensure we are achieving our goals in customer service, cost containment, productivity and timeliness of pickup and delivery of shipments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments
· Secure and negotiate rates with established carriers
· Source new carriers for better prices and service
· Support freight quoting for orders being released
· Assist with loading trailers when required
· Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies
· Manage insurance claims with carriers and communicate information to accounting
· Invoice and code vendor invoices for accounting daily
· Verify every shipment matches order release detail
· Communicate pick-up and deliveries for all inbound and outbound shipments
· Monitor the shipped status report daily
· Set and maintain ship dates on orders released
· Ensure all material and operation cards complete prior to invoicing orders
· Special project shipping such as to and from trade shows
· Fulfill and restock internal orders (for R&D, training, etc.)
· Manage Return Material Authorization (RMA) process to support Project Installation team when addressing warranty issues
· Communicate with Project Support on all aspects of inbound and outbound parts and warranty orders
· Supports other team members when needed, specifically in cross-training and being back up support for Langley operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3 or more years of experience in shipping/logistics in a manufacturing warehouse environment
· Experience with freight coordination and international shipping
· High school diploma/GED required
· Familiar with materials and fabrication processes an asset
· Knowledgeable about international freight, shipping and standards
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
· Forklift certification
OTHER INFORMATION:
- This is an onsite position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC).
- This position works Monday to Friday, 8-hour days.
