Position Overview
As a Budtender, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding in-store experience while ensuring strict compliance with provincial cannabis regulations and Unity Cannabis internal policies.
This part-time position requires availability for weekdays, evenings, and weekends based on operational scheduling.
You will report to the Store Manager and play a key role in maintaining Unity’s high standards of professionalism, compliance, and customer care.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and engage customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Verify valid government-issued photo ID and ensure all customers are 19+
- Build on cannabis knowledge
- Deliver a smooth, full-spectrum customer experience from entry to checkout
- Operate POS system accurately and handle transactions responsibly
- Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising, and organization
- Assist with inventory control, receiving shipments, and restocking
- Follow all company policies, compliance procedures, and security protocols
- Participate in ongoing product training and team meetings
What You Bring
- Minimum 19 years of age
- Selling It Right certification (Bonus)
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Retail experience preferred (cannabis experience considered an asset)
- Working knowledge of POS systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to work in a high-volume retail environment
- Strong attention to detail and compliance awareness
- Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
- Passion for cannabis knowledge and customer education
