ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE
Assists the Sales and Marketing Manager in implementing marketing and community relations programs to attain occupancy targets for the home in accordance with the vision, values and standards of the Residence. This position is a 1-year Maternity Leave contract, salary plus commission paid out monthly on all closed leases.
BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATIONS
- Has completed a minimum of grade 12.
- Written and verbal fluency in English is required.
- Has previous direct sales experience (preferably in the service industry).
- Has proficient computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, and marketing database).
- Preference given to individuals who have demonstrated interest in working with seniors in a similar setting.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive their own vehicle for work.
- Must be available for a flexible work schedule, which may include weekends and/or evenings.
- A resident-oriented individual, whose visions and values align with those of the Residence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) program.
Supports the implementation of the annual and quarterly marketing plan.
Assists with the sales follow-up program as per the Residence’s sales process.
Ensures the model suites are clean and ready for tours each day. Books and conducts tours for potential residents, families, community groups, etc.
Assists with planning and executing internal and external public relations awareness activities (i.e. speaking engagements, community events, etc).
Provides administrative support and data entry into the approved sales program.
Prepares all marketing kits and marketing material.
Maintains accurate sales records in accordance with procedures and programs.
In the absence of the Sales and Marketing Manager:
- Prepares monthly marketing and sales reports for submission to General Manager as per policy.
- Maintains daily census and communication with other departments regarding resident movement.
- Ensures Occupancy is up to date and correct, weekly in the CRM program.
Participates in the annual competitive analysis (mystery shopper).
Facilitates and ensures a smooth transition for new residents by scheduling pre-move-in assessments with the Health and Wellness Manager (or designate) to determine the potential resident’s suitability. In addition, sets up and completes an accurate file for new move-in deposits, suite selection and signed agreements. Collaborates with other departments as per New Resident Welcome policy and procedure.
Contributes to the appearance and cleanliness of the home.
Complies with all corporate policies and procedures.
Completes all required mandatory training/education.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Sales and Marketing Manager or delegate.
Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System/Globally Harmonized System. This includes recognizing health and safety hazards, reporting incidents, fulfilling responsibilities under the applicable legislation, as well as participating in in-services and fire drills. Participates in the ongoing Fire Prevention, and Pest Control programs and any other programs as required.
