Full job description

Job Summary:
The Finance Clerk provides crucial support in Finance functions. In the Finance department, the role primarily focuses on data entry, accounts payable, and assisting the Finance Controller with various finance-related duties, specifically for the gas station operations.

Responsibilities (Finance):

Perform data entry for the gas station operations, including but not limited to sales, inventory, and payroll data.
Assist with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices, handling vendor payments, and tracking financial transactions.
Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded in the appropriate accounting systems.
Support the Finance Controller with month-end and year-end financial reports.
Assist in maintaining financial records and preparing financial documentation for audits.
Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned by the Finance Controller.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Finance roles.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive employee information confidentially.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is an asset.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of basic finance procedures an asset.
Reliable transportation is required.

Education & Experience:

Post-secondary DiP.loma/Degree in Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in Finance, or a similar role is desirable.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with 80 hours bi-weekly.

Job Type: Full-time
