Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking, fabrication, and welding, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with various tools and machinery to produce high-quality metal components for construction, ductwork, and other industrial applications. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and dimensions.
Operate welding equipment including MIG and TIG welders to join metal parts securely.
Use plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to shape and assemble metal components.
Perform rigging tasks for lifting and positioning heavy materials using cranes or forklifts.
Measure materials accurately using calipers and other precision tools.
Conduct quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications.
Assist with assembly of ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated items according to project requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper equipment handling procedures.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and plasma cutting techniques.
Mechanical knowledge of machinery such as press brake machines, machining tools, cranes, forklifts, and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Experience with rigging and crane operation for lifting heavy materials safely.
Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, basic math skills for measurements, and assembly processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to ductwork, construction components, or similar fields.
Strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting requiring attention to detail. Pay: From $24.00 per hour
