Manufacturing Project Coordinator:
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the planning, production, assembly, and delivery of custom engine packages and related equipment for oil and gas applications. This role serves as a key link between sales, engineering, purchasing, production, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to customer and quality requirements.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Must be Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and project tracking tools.
- Previous experience in project coordination, manufacturing coordination, production planning, operations, or a related role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and address project risks.
- Ability to work effectively with production personnel, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, management, and customers.

- Experience in oil and gas, industrial equipment, engine packaging, power generation, compression, pumping, or heavy manufacturing.
- Experience coordinating projects involving engines, skids, mechanical packages, controls, or related equipment.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
- Experience with project management software or scheduling tools.
- Technical diploma, degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge of quality control, inspection, testing, and documentation requirements within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Scheduling
- Coordinate multiple engine package manufacturing projects from order release through final delivery.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, production timelines, milestones, and delivery commitments.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential delays, material shortages, or production constraints.
- Coordinate priorities between engineering, purchasing, fabrication, assembly, and other production departments.
- Track project status and provide regular updates to management, sales, and customers when required.
- Assist with coordinating changes to project scope, specifications, schedules, and customer requirements.
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Work closely with production team leads to ensure projects are properly scheduled and resourced.
- Coordinate the availability of engines, components, materials, and outsourced services required for package completion.
- Monitor work orders and production progress throughout fabrication, assembly, testing, and final inspection.
- Help resolve issues affecting production schedules, material availability, or project completion.
- Coordinate project priorities to ensure customer delivery commitments are met.
Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Act as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing to ensure drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and documentation are complete and available.
- Coordinate engineering changes and ensure revisions are communicated to the appropriate departments.
- Assist in reviewing project documentation for completeness prior to releasing work to production.
- Coordinate technical requirements related to engine packages, including customer specifications, auxiliary equipment, controls, piping, structural components, and testing requirements.
- Support the coordination of inspections, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance requirements.
Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
- Work with purchasing to identify critical components and long-lead materials.
- Monitor supplier commitments and delivery dates for project-specific materials.
- Assist in expediting critical components when required to maintain project schedules.
- Communicate project priorities and changing requirements to internal purchasing teams and external suppliers.
Communication
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal project communication.
- Participate in project kickoff meetings and regular project status meetings.
- Communicate project schedules, milestones, risks, and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist with responding to customer inquiries regarding project status and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of customer requirements, changes, approvals, and project communications.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete and organized project files, including schedules, purchase status, production updates, drawings, change orders, and customer documentation.
- Prepare project status reports and dashboards for management.
- Track key project milestones, including engineering completion, material availability, fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipment.
- Assist with project closeout documentation and lessons learned.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve project flow, communication, scheduling, and coordination between departments.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to manufacturing and project execution.
- Help develop and maintain standardized project coordination procedures and tools.
Working Conditions
This position primarily works in an office and manufacturing environment and will require regular interaction with fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipping areas. Occasional travel to customer sites, suppliers, or project locations may be required.
Reporting Structure
The Manufacturing Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manage.

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.02 per year
