Full job description

Executive Inn at Whistler Village is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Front Office Manager to join our leadership team.

Located in the heart of Whistler Village, our 108-suite boutique hotel offers an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about guest service, team leadership and hotel operations. The Front Office Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office, including Front Desk, Night Audit and Bell Services, while working closely with the General Manager and hotel leadership team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operation of the Front Office, including Front Desk, Night Audit and Bell Services.
Lead, coach and support the Front Office team to ensure consistent guest service and operational standards.
Maintain a strong presence in the lobby and Front Office areas and respond effectively to guest concerns and service recovery situations.
Ensure Front Office policies, procedures and service standards are consistently followed.
Manage room inventory in coordination with the General Manager and Revenue Management team to support occupancy and revenue objectives.
Support group arrivals, departures and special requirements, working closely with Sales and other departments as required.
Champion upselling and walk-in revenue opportunities.
Monitor Front Office performance, guest feedback and service scores and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist with Front Office recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching and performance management.
Manage Front Office purchasing, departmental expenses and budget controls within established parameters.
Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, billing and Front Office accounting procedures.
Maintain appropriate Front Office supplies and inventory.
Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest service.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

Previous Front Office management or supervisory experience in a hotel environment.
Strong leadership, coaching and team-management skills.
Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (RSI an asset).
Experience with cash handling, billing and Front Office accounting procedures.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Previous Whistler or resort hotel experience would be an asset.
