Job Overview
Executive Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our Whistler property.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the hotel, including operations, sales, financial results, guest experience, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a strong operator with commercial acumen, capable of driving results while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency
- Lead department heads across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Administration
- Maintain brand standards, service quality, and overall property condition
- Monitor guest feedback, reviews, and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Partner with corporate and regional sales teams to achieve annual revenue targets
- Support business development and ensure strong market presence
- Monitor sales activity, pipelines, and reporting to ensure accountability and performance
- Maintain awareness of market trends, occupancy levels, and competitive positioning
Financial Management
- Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets
- Oversee payroll, cost controls, and overall financial performance
- Review financial reports regularly and implement strategies to improve profitability
- Ensure all expenditures are properly approved and aligned with budget expectations
Leadership & Human Resources
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing management team
- Foster a positive and accountable workplace culture
- Conduct performance management and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, policies, and best practices
Marketing & Positioning
- Support the development and execution of annual marketing and advertising plans
- Collaborate with corporate marketing to maximize visibility and market share
- Ensure strong representation of the brand across all channels
Capital & Asset Management
- Develop and execute annual CAPEX plans
- Oversee preventative maintenance and property improvements
- Coordinate renovation projects with internal teams to minimize business disruption
Food & Beverage Collaboration
- Partner with restaurant leadership to ensure alignment between hotel and F&B operations
- Support initiatives to drive in-house guest engagement with on-site dining
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or senior hotel leader
- Strong operational leadership with the ability to manage multiple departments
- Solid financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, cost control)
- Experience driving sales performance and revenue growth
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of hospitality systems and hotel operations
- Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field is an asset
Additional Requirements
- Must be flexible with work hours and present on property, including weekends (Fridays and Saturdays)
- Hands-on leadership style with a visible presence in the hotel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
