Title: Human Resources Manager & EA
Schedule: 40hr/wk
Location: North York, ON
Reports to: CEO
Responsibilities:
Human Resources
- Within an advising capacity, apply knowledge of HR compliance and best practices to provide recommendations to the Managing Director related to HR functions, which include:
o Employee training and development
o Employer Obligations
o Employment Contracts & Terminations
o Health, Wellness, and Safe Workplace
o HR Strategy and Professional Practice
o Labour and Employee Relations
o Learning & Development
o Organizational Effectiveness
o Recruitment
o Regulations and Legislation
o Reporting and Financial Management
o Total Rewards
o Workforce Planning and Talent Management
- Carry out HR directives as approved by the CEO.
- Confidentially document and maintain HR records such as personnel files, incident reports, meetings
- Plan staffing requirements/changes in conjunction with departmental managers
- Notify Payroll of new employees and changes to employee records
- Lead employee relations and communications
- Co-ordinate internal and external training and recruitment activities
- Develop and distribute policies and procedures. Advise and assist departmental managers and supervisors on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs to enable them to enforce, monitor and report
- Administer the organization’s benefits program
- Participate actively on various joint committees as required
- Plan, organize and evaluate the operations of the human resources departments
Executive Assistant
- Manage calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements for CEO
- Schedule and prepare for meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups
- Handle confidential correspondence and communications
- Assist with formatting and preparing documents, reports, and presentations.
Team work
- Exhibits professional judgment, maintains confidentiality and adheres to policies and procedures
- Completes work within expected periods of time
- Has excellent attendance and punctuality
- Keeps workspace clean in accordance to housekeeping standards
- Collaborates with various departments as needed
Working Conditions:
- May include continuous computer use and sitting for long periods at a time
- May travel to represent the organization at external events e.g. conferences, presentations, meetings
Skills and Competencies:
- Completion of related post-secondary education. Recognized HR designation an asset.
- 4-5 years of HR experience with escalating levels of leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform clerical tasks with accuracy and a consistent pace
- Attentiveness and sensitivity to employee issues. Demonstrated diplomacy, impartiality and professional demeanor
- Maintains the organizations best interests
- High level of computer literacy
- A supportive team player and leader who understands and exemplifies OOTB’s Core Values

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
