Role Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled, safety-conscious Bandsaw & Grinder Operator to join our production floor. In this role, you will be responsible for operating commercial meat saws and grinders to process frozen bones and animal fats safely, precisely, and efficiently.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: This position requires immediate, proven proficiency on a commercial meat bandsaw. No equipment operational training will be provided for bandsaw operation. Qualified candidates must be fully competent to operate safely and independently on Day 1.

Salary: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation: Safely and accurately operate a Hobart meat bandsaw and Hobart meat grinder to process frozen bones and frozen animal fats according to production specs with minimal waste.
Sanitation & Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and daily inspections of the bandsaw, grinder, blades, and surrounding workstations.
Quality & Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and machine safety protocols. Monitor output quality and report any machinery issues to management immediately.
Workstation Ownership: Maintain an organized, safe, and fully compliant workstation throughout your shift.

Non-Negotiable Qualifications & Skills

Proven Experience: Direct, professional experience operating commercial meat bandsaws and industrial meat grinders (Hobart equipment experience preferred).
Frozen Processing Skills: Demonstrated experience cutting and processing frozen bones and animal fats.
Immediate Autonomy: Ability to work safely, precisely, and independently without bandsaw operational training or direct oversight.
High Standards: Exceptional attention to detail regarding safety, sanitation, and output quality.
Proactive Mindset: Strong communication skills, high level of integrity, and a self-driven work ethic.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Heavy Lifting: Must be physically able to repeatedly lift, load, and transfer heavy frozen materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Stamina & Dexterity: Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain excellent hand-eye coordination around high-speed machinery.
Environment: Comfortable working full shifts in a cold processing facility environment.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
