Electrical Assembler

Canaweld Inc. is seeking a motivated and hard-working individual to join our growing team in Whitby, Ontario.

Job Responsibilities

Review production packages, drawings, and bills of materials to ensure correct parts and specifications are used.
Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components, including circuit breakers, contactors, relays, switches, and other control panel components.
Perform drilling, tapping, and mechanical modifications of mounting plates and enclosures using appropriate tools and equipment.
Wire electrical panels and equipment according to schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.
Test and troubleshoot electrical assemblies and components to ensure proper operation.
Conduct continuity, insulation, and functional tests of electrical assemblies and wire harnesses.
Identify and report quality issues and assist in resolving assembly-related problems.
Complete assigned work within established production schedules and delivery timelines.
Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
Experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or electrical/mechanical manufacturing.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to assist with other production tasks as required to support company objectives.
Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset.
English language proficiency is not required.
