Whitecourt Ford is proud to serve our community with dependable vehicles, trusted service, and strong local relationships. Our team is built on accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to doing things the right way. We're currently looking for an Internet Sales Consultant to join our growing sales team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers reaching out online, by phone, and through chat — converting inbound leads into showroom appointments and, ultimately, sales. This is a selling role, not a call centre role. You'll be expected to know vehicles, handle objections, build relationships, and close. If you've worked the floor and want to leverage that experience in a high-volume internet-focused environment, this is your seat.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Respond promptly to inbound leads via phone, email, and live chat — qualifying buyers and setting showroom appointments
- Conduct proactive outbound follow-up with unsold leads, past customers, and service clients to generate selling opportunities
- Manage your pipeline using the dealership's CRM — logging every touchpoint, updating customer records, and staying on top of follow-up schedules
- Present vehicles, pricing, and current promotions in a confident, knowledgeable manner that moves customers toward a decision
- Coordinate seamlessly with the sales floor, service, and management teams to ensure a smooth handoff and outstanding customer experience
- Track your own performance metrics: appointments set, show rate, lead-to-sale conversion and actively work to improve them
- Support customer retention through consistent post-sale follow-up and by building genuine long-term relationships
What You Bring to the Team:
- Automotive dealership sales experience is required — floor sales, internet sales, or a combination of both
- Proven ability to handle objections, negotiate, and close — you know how to move a deal forward
- Strong written and verbal communication — you're as comfortable in an email as you are on the phone or in person
- Comfortable with CRM platforms and digital tools — experience with Dealersocket and PBS is an asset
- Self-motivated and organized — able to manage a high volume of leads without dropping the ball
- Team player who collaborates well across departments and takes pride in representing the dealership professionally
- Valid Alberta driver's license and clean drivers abstract
- Valid AMVIC License
