Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Kitchen Helper/Cashier to join our team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and providing excellent customer service at the cashier station. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong attention to food safety, and experience in food service environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in meal preparation and customer interaction within a dynamic restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly to ensure timely service
Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and food handling procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and provide friendly service to customers
Serve customers at the counter or drive-thru, taking orders efficiently and courteously
Follow all food safety guidelines and proper hygiene practices during food handling and service
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with inventory management and storage of ingredients and supplies

Requirements

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to perform meal preparation tasks efficiently and accurately
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
