Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand / Irrigation Sprinkler Changer to join our team. This role involves changing Irrigation Wheel Lines maintaining and caring for the ranch's livestock, crops, and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various farm machinery and tools. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment, machinery, and irrigation systems
- Assist with livestock care, including feeding, watering, and health monitoring
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution for crops and pasture
- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, loaders, and other power tools safely and efficiently
- Conduct general farm maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Oversee crop planting, harvesting, and general horticultural activities
- Heavy lifting of supplies, feed, or equipment as needed for daily operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment operation
- Experience with irrigation systems and horticulture practices preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Prior experience working on a farm or ranch is a plus but not required
- Strong work ethic with reliability and attention to detail
