Increased over the years, our extensive plant capacity developed to cater for our multi million pound turnover, is spread across four facilities manned by over 200 employees. It incorporates shot blasting, stress relieving, fitting, welding, machining, non-destructive testing, final paint, right on through to our own logistics network, resulting in high value finished items across many diverse sectors.

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking 1 Southwestern Manufacturing typically operates on rotating shifts of days and afternoons (minimum of 40 - 48 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Cleans and keeps up various surfaces and material within our two facilities (manufacturing setting)
- Sweeps and mops floors
- Cleans and disinfects toilets and replenishes supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
- Responds to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action
- Ensures cleaning supplies and equipment and maintains an appropriate stock at all times
- Mixes liquids and solvents from basic materials to create effective cleaning supplies
- Operates and maintains equipment such as floor cleaners
- Collects and removes trash from a building or space
- Makes minor repairs as necessary, including tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing leaks
- Notifies Operations Manager when major repairs, including structural issues or highly skilled tasks, are required
- Monitors heat, cooling, and other environmental systems
- Performs outdoor upkeep as necessary, including mowing grass, shovelling snow, and maintaining entrances and walkways
- Work with the grounds keeping team when necessary to remove debris, leaves, snow and other obstructions from company grounds
- Check for potential safety issues in all public areas on a daily basis and bring them to the attention of the Operations Manager

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Knowledge of the latest Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations

Working Conditions
- Shop environment with exposure to noise, sparks, grinding debris, and moving equipment.
- Regular lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have an attention for detail to ensure tight deadlines are met.
