POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst is responsible for business analytics activities that allow for process transformation and or the delivery of effective transformation solutions for our customers. This role completes the investigation and recommendation for new initiatives and is a resource for the planning, capturing of current processes, designing new processes, coordinating other services from TransForm departments (procurement, information management or technology implementation) and support the process of transformation projects. A key element of the role is to act as liaison between the customer and users, vendors, and the project stakeholders in the provision of process transformation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Key contributor of the delivery of process transformation activities for the defined implementation activities for assigned work-streams in accordance with regional project management methodologies.
- Leads or supports the investigation and recommendation of solution proposals (process transformation and or solutions, including development of business cases, RFP’s) for assigned areas of responsibility (customers, subject areas).
- Participates with ongoing investigation of new/relevant process transformation solutions through participation in various stakeholder groups including establishing peer hospital/professional practice networks and strong vendor relationships.
- Works in collaboration with business orders to define new process and work flows, understand impacts to current positions and identify key training/adoption issues
- Champions the established regional standards on processes, solution sets, data/process flows, and reporting solutions.
- Gathers information related to practice (workflow, data, reporting requirements) and supports continuous improvement activities to ensure effective use of deployed assets.
- Supports relevant design work for all integration, interfaces, report development, and data conversions. Responsible to ensure robust test plans are in place to properly validate changes and to ensure appropriate engagement and adoption of the new process/tool.
- Coordinates the engagement of the appropriate teams to support the transformation activities.
- Supports the project team with duties as assigned.
MUST- HAVES:
- Minimum three (3) year University Degree or Community College diploma relative to Information Technology, Health Sciences, Business Administration.
- Minimum two to four (2-4) years of experience in supporting workflow/process redesign and or supporting application solutions or technology support services in a complex environment
WE VALUE:
- Healthcare workflow/process transformation and or IT related experience an asset.
- Experience in leading or participating in large scale transformation and or application implementation projects
- Experience in providing transformation and or application support services.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
OTHER CONDITIONS:
- Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area, when required
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
- Must be able to work shifts Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm
- Must be local and available for on-call
