Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Maintenance professional to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of our facilities. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility care.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning of the inside and outside of plant, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as floor care, window washing, trash removal, and surface disinfecting
Maintain the cleanliness of the building’s interior and exterior areas to uphold health and safety standards
Perform basic facilities maintenance including light repairs, replacing fixtures, and troubleshooting minor issues.
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
Ensure all cleaning supplies and maintenance tools are properly stored and maintained

Experience

Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and identify when specialized repair services are required
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
