J.D. Barnes Limited is searching for a Survey Assistant to join our team! As a Survey Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Party Chief in successfully completing the field work on assigned jobs in accordance with the industry regulations and J.D. Barnes Limited's procedures and technical standards. This is a full-time, on-site position, located in Windsor, ON. This job posting is for a vacant position.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate survey equipment including levels, Total Stations, Data collectors, GPS etc.
- Assist the Land Survey Party Chief with data preparation, measurements and calculations
- Communicate problems, errors, questions and concerns to the Land Survey Party Chief
- Inspect and maintain field equipment
- Ensure a clean and orderly work environment
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and Regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Excellent communication skills
- Good mathematical abilities
- Experience with land surveying and survey equipment is an asset
- Familiarity working in windows based applications is an asset
- Post secondary education in related field (surveying or engineering technology) is an asset, but not required
Key Job Details
- Expected Compensation Range: $41,600- $57,200, commensurate with skills, education, and experience
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Paid Overtime
