Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your energetic approach will help coordinate appointments, manage administrative tasks, and support clinical staff with efficiency and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the friendly face of our practice while maintaining accurate records and facilitating seamless communication across the office.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression of the practice
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages
Schedule patient appointments using electronic medical records systems
Verify patient insurance information and update records accurately in the system
Manage front desk operations, including check-in/check-out procedures and handling patient inquiries
Maintain organized medical and administrative files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
Assist clinical staff with administrative support related to patient records, billing, and documentation

Requirements

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records systems
Prior experience preferred working in dental offices or medical practices preferred
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Proficiency in office equipment including multi-line phone systems, computers, and office software
Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
