Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract and hire top talent while delivering exceptional candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will promote employment opportunities, develop effective sourcing strategies, and build strong candidate pipelines to support hiring needs across WFCU.
In summary, the Express Services Representative will
- Manage full-cycle recruitment including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
- Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates for both sales and non-sales roles.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with educational institutions to facilitate co-op placements and support early talent pipelines.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and referrals to maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment data within applicant tracking systems.
- Conduct candidate screenings and coordinate interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
- Support employer branding initiatives and promote opportunities through established channels and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, employment standards, and confidentiality requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support overall organizational hiring goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The “must-have” skills and qualifications that we’re looking for are
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (Bachelor of Commerce with HR concentration preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience; experience in financial services is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with applicant tracking or HR systems.
- Experience sourcing candidates through social media and other modern recruitment channels.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong follow-through.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
