The Richmond Popcorn Co. is hiring part-time Retail Sales Associates for our Devonshire Mall kiosk location.
This is a customer-facing kiosk sales position. It is best suited for someone who is friendly, outgoing, reliable, and comfortable engaging with people throughout their shift.
This is not a behind-the-scenes role and it is not a passive cashier position. Our team members are expected to be visible, approachable, and actively engaged while working.
Position Overview
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for creating a fun, welcoming, and positive customer experience at our popcorn kiosk. This includes greeting customers, offering samples, helping customers choose products, keeping the kiosk clean and full, and staying productive during both busy and slower periods.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys talking to people, takes pride in keeping their work area organized, and can stay motivated without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with customers passing by the kiosk
- Offer samples and help customers choose popcorn flavours
- Create a friendly, upbeat, and welcoming customer experience
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system
- Keep the kiosk clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing
- Restock product and maintain attractive displays throughout the shift
- Stay active and productive during slower periods
- Work independently when scheduled alone
- Follow all food safety, cleanliness, and company standards
- Represent The Richmond Popcorn Co. in a professional and positive manner
Important Expectations
This role requires someone who is comfortable with active kiosk sales. Team members are expected to:
- Stand and remain visible during their shift
- Greet customers and interact with mall traffic
- Offer samples when appropriate
- Stay productive even when the kiosk is quiet
- Work independently without constant supervision
- Avoid personal phone use during paid working time, except during approved breaks or emergencies
- Be available for a flexible mall schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with customers
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to stay focused and productive during slower periods
- Comfortable working independently
- Organized and able to maintain a clean work environment
- Able to work a flexible retail schedule
- Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience is an asset, but not required

Job Details:
- Location: Devonshire Mall (3100 Howard Ave, Windsor)
- Compensation: $17.60 per hour (Ontario minimum wage; student minimum wage may apply where applicable)
- Hours: 10–20 hours per week
Mall Schedule:
Monday–Friday: 10am–8pm
Saturday: 10am–6pm
Sunday: 11am-5pm
Shifts may include evenings and weekends

This role involves continuous customer interaction and requires employees to remain engaged and attentive throughout their shift.
