Full job description

ZenFri is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support its team across a range of clients and projects. This is a varied, hands-on role encompassing content creation, social media, web maintenance, and in-person representation. The position combines remote work with on-location tasks and offers a high degree of autonomy.

Note: This role requires some on-location tasks in Winnipeg and surrounding communities. You must reside within the area for consideration.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Creative

Write marketing copy, including social media captions, web content, and event descriptions
Film and edit short-form video content for social media and marketing campaigns
Support graphic design projects
Coordinate with the team to create engaging email marketing content that resonates with target audiences

Digital Marketing & SEO

Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns
Conduct keyword research and optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve organic search rankings
Contribute to the planning and execution of digital advertising strategies
Plan, schedule, and publish content across social media channels

Website & Analytics

Manage and update website content using WordPress, including event calendars, ensuring website performance aligns with SEO best practices
Analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other analytics tools to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement

Brand & Public Engagement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all digital channels
Represent ZenFri and its clients at events and on location, including direct engagement with the public

Required Qualifications

Strong written and verbal English
A keen eye for design and modern marketing strategies
Ability to work independently and manage one's own time and workload
Comfort with on-camera work, filming, and public-facing engagement
Access to a personal vehicle, as some responsibilities require travel to on-location work (mileage will be reimbursed)

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

Proficiency in French
Interest in or experience within the tourism and sustainability sectors
Experience with WordPress, SEO best practices, and content management
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and email marketing platforms
Experience with video editing, graphic design, and social media management tools
