Overview

Join our vibrant downtown midrise apartment community as a dedicated Caretaking Couple, where your proactive approach and warm hospitality will create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for building maintenance, security, and resident relations as permanent live-in caretakers. Your energy, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will ensure the property remains safe, well-maintained, and inviting. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated pair to make a meaningful impact in a bustling urban setting while enjoying a rewarding partnership.

Responsibilities

Perform routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness standards.
Manage building security by monitoring access points and conducting CCTV surveillance.
Handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
Respond promptly to resident inquiries via phone or in person, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
Attend to the accurate monthly collection of rents and provide receipts to tenants and maintain records of payment.
Assist with leasing activities by providing information about the property, scheduling tours, and supporting sales efforts when needed.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance repairs or upgrades while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain building amenities and common areas including the exterior of the building and the parking lot to ensure they are clean, safe, and inviting at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in previous management or caretaking positions is highly desirable.
Strong customer service skills with excellent phone, text and email etiquette and negotiation abilities.
General maintenance skills (eg. drywall repair, basic plumbing, changing a lock, etc)
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members. Hostility, rudeness and threats will not be tolerated.
Successfully pass a criminal record check.

We offer an attractive compensation package which includes a roomy 2-bedroom suite, all utilities (hydro, gas and water), a basic telephone line, cell phone and high-speed internet (benefits total are valued monthly at $1,600).
