Full job description

Formstructures is seeking a Commercial & Institutional Construction Site Superintendent for our Team in Winnipeg Manitoba. The chosen candidate must have:

§ Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Site Superintendent on ICI projects.

§ Site Superintendent Gold Seal Certification and formal education an asset.

§ Proven track record to have independently managed and successfully completed at least three large ICI projects.

§ Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in partnership with the Construction Management team, Architectural and Engineering consulting team, and all stakeholders to ensure clients’ expectations are met.

§ Must be proficient in MS Office, Work and Project software.

§ Ensure projects strictly adhere to our company Health and Safety Policy and Site-Specific Safety Plans.

§ Review with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Contract Administrator and Estimator, prior to developing the project schedule, the project drawings, and specifications to ensure all tasks are integrated into the project schedule.

§ Assist the Project Manager and Construction Management Team in developing a comprehensive project schedule including, once construction starts, daily review and weekly update of the “Critical Path” to ensure construction issues are managed effectively in advance.

§ Identify any scheduling efficiencies in the project schedule that may be achieved.

§ Monitor, forecast, and manage all subcontractor and material suppliers’ progress to ensure they remain on schedule and meet the project schedule targets.

§ Ensure all subcontractors perform work to industry standards and project specifications of quality.

§ Provide a Daily Site Report including photos to demonstrate progress of work is in line with project schedule and identify any construction issues to the Construction Management Team; initiate any RFI’s as required.

§ Coordinate with Building Department and local authorities having jurisdiction to ensure all required inspections take place.

§ Review for accuracy and sign off on time sheets submitted by subcontractors (or work by own forces) working by Time & Material basis.

§ Manage all project completion deficiencies and assist Construction Management Team in completing the close-out documents.

§ Attend production meetings.

§ Maintain and update construction drawings for any changes to the work.

§ Competency on various types of equipment i.e., aerial work platform, skid steer, zoom boom, etc. an asset.

§ Must hold current certification in First Aid and WHIMIS.

§ Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel and MS Project Scheduling software.

Infection Control Training & Experience an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
