Job summary

The Warehouse Associate has a key role in ensuring that products are received, verified, stored, and transported to the sales floor or in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves constant handling of merchandise that varies in weight from light to heavy throughout the shift.

Responsibilities:

Receive, scan, verify and store all incoming products.
Store overstock.
Ship returns, process damaged claims and complete paperwork.
Ensure inventory accuracy.
Dispose garbage and cardboard.
Operate all warehouse equipment safely.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Transport merchandise to and from offsite warehouse.
Ensure all items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery.
Maintain vehicle in good working order and bring any issues to the Service Manager.
Keep detailed records of deliveries and any issues with the items being delivered.
Communicate with warehouse and/or order desk.

Requirements / Skills

Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
Strong computer skills
Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
Certification in forklift and/or skyjack (scissor lift) (asset)
Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions.
Experience in a delivery and/or customer service role

Valid driver"s licence for province of employment
