Full job description

GNB Global Inc. is a manufacturing and construction services company specializing in engineered fabric tensioned steel-framed buildings.

As a leader in the industry, we are rapidly growing and looking for a parts assistant. A Parts Department Assistant manages inventory, processes orders, and assists our team in the day to day operations. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing exceptional service to our customers

Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of parts and supplies
Process parts orders and ensure timely delivery to customers
Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the parts department
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and invoices
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and provide reports to management
Operate a forklift and other equipment to move parts and supplies
Assist the Fleet Manager by checking trailers and ensuring all lights, brakes, and safeties are working and current
Deliver parts to site-in and out of the city if needed
Maintain a clean and organized shop and parts room
Pick parts for jobs based on Tech schedule
Have knowledge of parts and job locations·
Make springs
Perform other duties as assigned by the parts manager

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures
Knowledge of automotive parts and components preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
· Prior experience in parts inventory, warehousing, or automotive parts departments is preferred; familiarity with parts catalogs and inventory management software is advantageous. ·
Basic computer and clerical skills. ·
Ability to lift and move parts, work at elevated levels, and perform tasks in various weather conditions if deliveries are required. ·
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with management, coworkers, vendors, and customers.
Valid Class 5 Drivers license

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
