Sheepdog Brew Co. is growing across Canada, and there’s a lot happening around here worth capturing.
We’re looking for another creative brain + camera to join our in-house marketing team and help us turn what’s happening every day at Sheepdog into great content.
This is not a sit-at-a-desk-all-day content job.
One day you might be filming our production team at the brewery. The next, you could be shooting one of our Underdog athletes, following our founder around for a day, capturing a grocery store launch, travelling to an event, flying a drone or editing a Reel that needs to go live that afternoon.
If you like moving quickly, coming up with ideas and making content that actually feels like something, you’ll probably fit in pretty well here.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll work closely with our Marketing Director, Graphic Designer, and Founder to bring Sheepdog’s marketing strategy to life through photo and video.
Your work will include:
- Shooting and editing short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and paid advertising
- Capturing high-quality photography and video across our two Sheepdog locations and out in the community
- Creating evergreen brand and product content that can be used across Canada
- Capturing behind-the-scenes content featuring our team and day-to-day business
- Creating content around our Sheepdog Underdog athletes and partnerships
- Shooting events, retail launches, activations and other Sheepdog happenings
- Helping build and capture content for our founder Shawn’s personal brand
- Flying and capturing drone footage when appropriate
- Turning raw footage into polished, on-brand social content
- Brainstorming content concepts and identifying moments worth capturing
- Working with the marketing team to execute established campaigns and content strategies
- Organizing footage and maintaining a usable library of photo and video assets
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you do need a strong creative eye and the ability to make things happen.
Ideally, you:
- Have experience shooting and editing video
- Are confident creating short-form social content
- Can shoot strong photography as well as video
- Have experience operating a drone
- Understand Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and what makes people stop scrolling
- Know your way around video editing software
- Can generate original ideas while staying within an established brand
- Are comfortable filming people and helping them feel natural on camera
- Can work quickly when something needs to be captured, edited and posted
- Are organized enough to manage multiple shoots, projects and deadlines
- Are comfortable working on the go and in different environments
- Want to collaborate rather than just wait for a shot list
- Are excited about helping build a growing Canadian brand
WHAT WORKING HERE ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
Sheepdog moves quickly.
We operate out of two locations in the Winnipeg area and regularly find ourselves at grocery stores, events, production days, community initiatives and whatever else gets thrown onto the calendar.
This role will primarily be in-house and hands-on with our team. Some days will be planned shoots. Other days, something cool will happen and we’ll need you to grab a camera.
There’s lots of creative freedom, but also lots of collaboration. You’ll be joining an existing marketing team with a clear strategy and brand, while bringing your own ideas and creative perspective to it.
NICE TO HAVE
- Drone certification/experience
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar
- Photography and photo editing experience
- Experience creating content for brands
- Experience with paid social/ad creative
- Understanding of lighting and audio
- A portfolio or social account showing your work

Sheepdog Brew Co. is a Manitoba-based coffee company specializing in Nitro Cold Brew. What started as a small coffee-roasting operation in 2017 has grown into a rapidly expanding Canadian brand carried by hundreds of retailers.
We roast, brew and can our cold brew in-house, but Sheepdog has always been about more than what’s inside the can. We’ve built a brand around our team, community, founder, athletes and the people who show up every day and do the work.
Now we need someone to help us capture more of it.
