Service Coordinator & Shop Operations Lead – Powersports (The Power Garage)
The Power Garage is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Service Coordinator & Shop Operations Lead to oversee the daily flow of our service department and help drive operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys coordinating people, solving problems, improving processes, and creating an exceptional customer experience. You'll work closely with technicians, and management to ensure every repair order moves efficiently through the shop while maintaining the highest standards of quality and productivity.

What You'll Do
Lead Daily Shop Operations
* Coordinate technician schedules and workloads to maximize efficiency
* Ensure all repair orders are properly staged with required parts and documentation
* Monitor workflow and job status throughout the day
* Remove bottlenecks and support technicians in maintaining productivity
* Conduct quality-control checks before units are released
Manage Service Workflow & Repair Orders
* Create and manage repair orders using Lightspeed
* Maintain accurate job statuses and technician notes
* Track labor hours and workflow performance
* Ensure all work orders include proper documentation and photos
* Maintain accurate records and reporting
Drive Shop Performance
* Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, proficiency, and labor efficiency
* Identify opportunities to improve workflow and reduce downtime
* Lead daily service team meetings and communicate priorities
* Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department
Maintain Shop Organization & Standards
* Ensure all units are properly tracked and accounted for
* Maintain accurate unit locations within the service compound
* Oversee shop cleanliness, organization, and tool management
* Promote a safe and professional work environment
Support Customer Service & Sales Growth
* Assist in developing repair recommendations based on inspections
* Support service advisors in delivering exceptional customer experiences
* Identify opportunities for maintenance services and value-added offerings
* Help ensure customers receive clear communication throughout the service process
Facility & Operational Support
* Monitor shop supplies and operating expenses
* Coordinate facility-related requirements including fuel, propane, waste removal, and general maintenance
* Ensure operational readiness of the service department at all times
What We're Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions independently
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in powersports, automotive, marine, RV, agricultural equipment, or related service industries
* Experience working with Lightspeed (ERP) or other dealership management systems
* Understanding of service department operations, workflow management, and technician productivity
* Experience leading or coordinating teams
