Full job description

POSITION: Stationary Building Maintenance Engineer 4th Class - Day shift

Reporting to the Manager of Fleet, Facility & Administration, the 4th Class Stationary Building Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties:

Inspects/maintains boiler system, heating and air conditioning systems, maintains major garage equipment such as hoists, fuel dispensers, brush wash washes, roof top HVAC, and undertakes minor repairs as required
Daily inspection and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment
General building maintenance including repairs to doors, walls, ceilings, furniture, washrooms, etc.
Basic preventative maintenance to specified plant equipment
Coordinates with outside contractors on projects as required
Completing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Valid 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certificate
Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing
Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on building maintenance experience, specifically involving natural-gas systems. Additional hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic repairs is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with health and safety practices
Effective organizational and communication skills
Electrical Experience
