Full job description

Summary

This position is responsible for the safe operation of a truck to deliver products to customers. Deliveries are in Québec, Maritimes and Ontario.

Main Responsibilities

Loads and unloads truck with products adhering to all company and governmental regulations.
Operates semi-truck with one or two trailers according to company policies and federal laws.
Transports load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established company procedures
Maintains vehicle cleanliness.
Performs safety inspections on truck and equipment as required by company policy.
Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking, on a daily basis, oil, water, fuel, tires, etc.
Reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to dispatcher.
Follows all safety procedures for transportation of dangerous goods(if applicable).
Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per policies.

Skills & Requirements

Valid Class 1E Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract

2 years of driving experience would be an asset

Ce poste consiste à assurer l’exploitation sécuritaire d’un camion afin de livrer des produits aux clients. Les livraisons s’effectuent au Québec, dans les Maritimes et en Ontario.

Principales responsabilités

Charger et décharger le camion en respectant toutes les réglementations de l’entreprise et gouvernementales.
Conduire un semi-remorque avec une ou deux remorques conformément aux politiques de l’entreprise et aux lois fédérales.
Transporter les marchandises sur les itinéraires requis jusqu’à destination, en respectant le Code de la route et les normes de sécurité.
Compléter et transmettre toute la documentation conformément aux procédures établies de l’entreprise.
Maintenir la propreté du véhicule.
Effectuer les inspections de sécurité du camion et de l’équipement selon les politiques de l’entreprise.
Assurer diverses tâches d’entretien, comme vérifier quotidiennement l’huile, l’eau, le carburant, les pneus, etc.
Signaler toute défaillance ou préoccupation concernant l’équipement au répartiteur.
Respecter toutes les procédures de sécurité relatives au transport de marchandises dangereuses (le cas échéant).
Porter tout l’équipement de protection individuelle (EPI) conformément aux politiques.

Compétences et exigences

Permis de conduire valide de classe 1E avec un dossier de conduite sans tâche.

Expérience de conduite de deux ans serait un atout.
