Full job description

Rodd Grand Yarmouth is a full-service waterfront hotel located in the heart of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Known for its comfortable accommodations, conference facilities, and warm Maritime hospitality, the hotel welcomes both leisure and business travellers and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and service-oriented individual to join our Front Desk team on a full-time basis. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a key role in creating a positive and lasting impression from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming experience
Register guests, assign rooms, and accurately enter guest information into the property management system
Handle incoming calls, process reservations, and verify existing bookings
Process payments and complete guest check-outs efficiently and accurately
Respond to guest inquiries and assist with requests such as dining recommendations and local area information
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction throughout their stay
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area at all times

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service with a guest-focused approach
Comfortable using computers and hotel systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills
Professional, courteous, and cooperative demeanour
Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to work weekends and holidays
