Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent kitchen skills, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and marinating, ensuring all food is ready for service
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, plating dishes, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing workstations
Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout the shift

Experience

Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
Familiarity with food handling regulations and proper sanitation practices is desirable
Experience in meal preparation, serving, or working in a fast-paced food industry environment will be considered a plus
A strong understanding of food safety principles to prevent contamination and ensure high-quality service
