Chateau Nova Yellowknife & Nova Inn Yellowknife | Yellowknife, NT
Are you ready to lead People & Culture in the Land of the Aurora?
Nova Hotels is a Canadian, family-owned and operated hotel group with 13 full and limited-service hotels across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories. At Nova, hospitality starts with people. We care about creating comfortable stays for our guests, memorable events for our clients, and a supportive workplace for our teams.
Whether we are helping a guest settle in, supporting a team member, coaching a leader through a tough conversation, or solving an operational challenge, our team shows up with care, accountability, and a willingness to find a way.
Nova Hotels is looking for an experienced People & Culture Manager to support two of our Yellowknife properties: Chateau Nova Yellowknife and Nova Inn Yellowknife.
This is a hands-on HR leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, building trusted relationships with leaders and team members, and helping hotels run smoothly through strong people practices.
As the People & Culture Manager, you will act as the primary HR partner for both Yellowknife properties. You will work closely with General Managers, department leaders, and associates across all departments to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, workplace culture, compliance, and retention.
This role is ideal for a practical, people-focused HR professional who can balance empathy with accountability. You are comfortable coaching managers, resolving employee concerns, supporting compliance, and navigating the realities of a dynamic hospitality environment.
You understand that great guest experiences start with great teams, and you are ready to help leaders build workplaces where people feel supported, expectations are clear, and challenges are addressed fairly and consistently.
