Full job description

The Baggage Handler role is an integral part of the company’s success. While providing excellent customer service, CASS baggage handlers will be handling checked passenger luggage in a live operational environment at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

CASS offers competitive compensation and includes benefits upon successful completion of six (6) months probation.

As a Baggage Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of passenger luggage at the airport. This position requires physical stamina and attention to detail as you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting baggage to and from aircraft. You will work closely with other team members to provide exceptional service to our customers while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service
Load and unload to the induction belts safely and correctly.
Load and unload passenger luggage.
Transport passenger luggage from weigh scales to screening machines.
Comply with all airport authority and air carrier security requirements.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
Must have Canadian citizen or have landed immigrant status.
Must have vaccination (Minimum 2 doses)
Ability to work safely and fully engage in a culture of safety and customer service.
Available to work changing shift hours, including weekends and holidays (Sample shifts 5am to 1pm, 2pm to midnight.)
Ability to repetitively lift heavy objects unaided and weighing up to 70 pounds (32 kilograms).
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to adjust to very busy and very slow periods during your shift.Ability to work independently and in groups for significant periods of time without direct supervision.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of alertness for extended periods.
Demonstrate integrity, dependability, and a professional and positive courteous manner at all times.

REQUIRED: Must have a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
REQUIRED: Must have Canadian citizen or have landed immigrant status.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 44 per week
