Job Title: Order Picker Operator – Afternoon Shift
Job Description
You will primarily operate a platform picker (order-picker) forklift and a reach forklift to accurately select and move product from racking, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality. The role starts with hands-on training on the shipping line to build product and process knowledge, with progression into other departments and eventually full-time lift truck operation once you demonstrate competence and confidence.
Responsibilities

Operate a platform picker (order-picker) forklift with a primary focus on safe and efficient order selection.

Operate a reach forklift and other stand-up lift equipment as required to access product in warehouse racking.

Use RF scanners to locate, pick, verify, and record inventory movements in the warehouse management system (WMS).

Perform order picking, shipping, and inventory-related tasks, including inventory counts and stock checks as required.

Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including staging, labeling, and preparing orders for outbound shipment.

Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move product safely and efficiently.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards.
Essential Skills

At least 6 months of warehouse experience, including exposure to shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.

At least 6 months of platform picker (order-picker) forklift experience, with this equipment as a priority skill.

Reach forklift experience and comfort operating stand-up reach trucks in racking environments.

Proficiency using RF scanners for order picking, shipping, and inventory transactions.

Experience with order picking, shipping, and inventory control processes in a warehouse setting.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and request assistance for heavier freight using a buddy system.

Willingness and ability to work a full-time afternoon shift from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Work Environment
The standard schedule is Monday to Friday on the afternoon shift from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., providing approximately 42.5 hours per week, with overtime applicable after 44 hours.
