Job Overview:
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Cardiology Technologist performs diagnostic testing including Electrocardiogram, Cardiac Exercise Stress Test, Holter Monitoring and other duties as operationally required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ECGs, Exercise Stress Tests and Holter hook-ups in a clinical setting, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
- Analyze Holter data using specialized software, and prepare a thorough and detailed report for cardiologists.
- Perform report QA to ensure that the report meets the Holter report standard for quality.
- Interact with healthcare providers to perform notification calls and respond to inquiries.
- Follow company and departmental policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized program in Cardiology Technology required.
- Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).
- Current registration with the Alberta Society of Registered Cardiology Technologists (ASRCT).
- Understanding of cardiac disease with the ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and abnormalities during analysis, as well as knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency in using Holter scanning software and electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
