About Us:

The Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on enhancing the lives of animals and connecting caring communities in Oakville and Milton. We provide shelter, care, and a range of support services for approximately 300 animals, while promoting responsible pet ownership through education. What Would You Do?

The Database and Fundraising System Administrator is responsible for managing, optimizing, and administering the Raiser’s Edge database and digital fundraising platforms. This role ensures data accuracy, system integrity, and efficient operations to support fundraising and stakeholder engagement. The Administrator oversees the accurate flow of donation data into Raiser’s Edge, monitors data accuracy, and develops reports for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate has experience with Raiser’s Edge and online fundraising systems, strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a donor-first approach to fundraising. An outline of your key responsibilities has been listed below.

Maximize the functionality of Raiser’s Edge by identifying and implementing best practices to most effectively manage all stakeholder data.
Understand, evaluate and manage date flow from digital fundraising platforms into Raiser's Edge.
Gather and clean large datasets from various sources to generate lists for direct mail campaigns, ensuring accuracy and reliability through quality control.
Develop a process for pulling large data sets for direct mail campaigns as needed.
Develop training manuals and standard operating procedures for the management and use of Raiser’s Edge.
Provide Raiser’s Edge training and technical support to staff.
Coordinate the transition and implementation of a new digital fundraising platform.
Master digital fundraising platforms to manage configurations for campaigns, events, and tax receipting.
Troubleshoot issues and manage relationships with fundraising technology vendors.
Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with CRA, privacy, and audit requirements.
Develop and deliver a system for revenue tracking, reporting, and forecasting to support informed strategic decision-making
Utilize statistical techniques and data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent database management and/or Raiser’s Edge certification will be considered.
Proven experience in non-profit, managing fundraising databases – including reporting and querying to assist the fundraising team in achieving revenue goals.
3-5 years’ experience managing fundraising databases.
Interpreting and reporting results of analysis, data processing and file management.
Experience with Omatic or other data integration tools an asset.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar databases is preferred.
Experience with database and records management best practices.
Experience with data import/export and query/report development.
Expert in Microsoft Suite, and business intelligence software
Possesses a valid G Class Driver’s License

Salary Range: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year + Benefits
