JOB OVERVIEW
Compensation:
The starting salary range for this position is $34.76 to $39.66 per hour, commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training, time, and career progression, hourly compensation may increase to a maximum of $49.61 Employees working the second shift receive an additional shift premium of $1.15 per hour. This position is also eligible for overtime.
Responsibilities:
As a Robotic Operator at FTAI Aviation, you will:

Operate FANUC robotic cells for shot peening and waterjet stripping, following approved programs, work instructions, and safety procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality results.

Set up jobs accurately, including verification of part identification, routing, fixtures, tooling/nozzles, and process parameters, in full compliance with documented procedures.

Monitor cycle execution closely, validate completion criteria (coverage, strip quality), and accurately record results to ensure process reliability and traceability.

Maintain full traceability and records in accordance with MPM 2.0 standards and internal systems, including ERP where applicable.

Identify and escalate process abnormalities, such as robot faults, process drift, or quality concerns, to Supervisors, Engineering, or Quality teams for timely resolution.

Support basic troubleshooting, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance activities, contributing to operational efficiency and equipment reliability.

Promote and maintain 6S and EHS compliance at all times, ensuring a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience operating robotic automation (FANUC preferred), CNC machinery, or other automated production systems, demonstrating precision and process reliability.

Strong mechanical aptitude, including fixturing, alignment, and safe handling of precision components.

Comfort and proficiency with process control, ensuring repeatability, quality, and thorough documentation in compliance with established standards.

Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues effectively, and communicate clearly with Supervisors, Engineering, and support teams.

Aerospace industry experience is a strong asset; however, structured training will be provided to motivated and capable candidates.
Developpement:
To support CRBU operational flexibility and evolving production demands, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to expand their skill set through additional qualifications within the Surface Treatment team, with comprehensive training provided.
Depending on business needs, this may include qualification and proficiency in one or more of the following areas:

Heat Treatment.

Chemical Surface Treatment (e.g., Alodine, etching, passivation, surface preparation).

Additional robotic processes within the cell.
