Compensation: $60.00 – $75.00 per billable hour

What is a day in the life of a SWCG/FA Social Worker?

You will provide assessment, counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families who have experienced trauma, traumatic injury, and complex orthopedic injury
You will interface with the medical, legal and insurance systems
You will advocate for and help link clients to community-based resources that would improve their social and emotional well-being
You will monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans
You will provide detailed, comprehensive reports as part of the medical-legal system
You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training sessions and establishing personal networks

What do you need to be successful?

You enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
You have strong verbal/written communication skills and have the ability to work with different personalities
You use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making client decisions
You have demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development
Hospital experience is considered an asset
Pediatric/adolescent work is an asset
Couples therapy experience an asset

Qualifications:

You have a Masters Degree in Social Work
You are a member in good standing with the College of OCSWSSW
You have a valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle
Strong knowledge and competence with a variety of clinical treatment modalities
3-5 years of clinical experience in related field/healthcare sector
