Environmental/Surface Land Analyst
Integrated Geomatics Inc. (IGI) has an immediate opening for an Environmental/Surface Land Analyst based out of our Calgary office, with hybrid work options available. Our multidisciplinary team at IGI supports client development activities by pairing survey and environmental services, including planning, permitting, environmental assessments, monitoring, GIS mapping, and design.
In this position, the successful applicant will plan and execute the development activities with customers throughout Alberta in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete regulatory applications using provincial web-based application systems (ex. AER OneStop)
- Analyze GIS Software, Survey Plans, and Environmental Reports related to project activities
- Participate in a team environment, work closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and Field Technicians
- Review regulations relevant to projects (Alberta Public Lands, Alberta Wetland Policy, Alberta Water Act)
- Regulatory planning and constraints analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in surface land program, environmental sciences, biology, or related field
- Previous experience planning new energy development activities and preparing environmental and regulatory applications
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology and regulatory requirements
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
- Professional designation and/or eligibility is an asset
