We are currently recruiting for a temporary fulltime Billing Clerk to join our Shared Services Team. This role will support all Practice Groups within the firm and allows you to make an impact and contribute to the overall efficiency of the Firm.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Creating proformas, drafting, reviewing, and processing invoices, and finalization of bills;
- Ensuring accuracy of trust accounts, financial records and documentation;
- Resolving discrepancies and verifying billing data;
- Adhering to procedures while creating billings in a prompt manner;
- Maintain and update billing information and requirements;
- Assist with monitoring accounts receivable and following up on past-due balances;
- Communicate with clients to resolve issues with past-due accounts and requests for payment;
- Using databases to conduct conflict searches and report findings;
- Managing opening, retrieval and closing of files within the database;
- Complying with federal, provincial and company regulations and policies;
- Recording and maintaining client information in multiple database systems;
- Handling confidential and sensitive information;
- Physically move file boxes throughout the building, as required;
- Scanning, as required;
- Other duties as required.
The successful candidate ideally has the following qualifications:
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline;
- 2-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced administrative or billing role;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience with Aderant software considered an asset;
- Attention to detail with strong administrative and organizational skills;
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills;
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
We offer a salary commensurate with experience and a collegial environment.
The expected compensation range for this role is between $42,000 and $50,000.
