Position Summary
The Regional Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing maintenance oversight, operational support, and technical leadership across a portfolio of hospitality properties. Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance, this role ensures that all facilities are maintained in accordance with brand standards, operational requirements, and applicable safety and regulatory obligations.
The Regional Maintenance Manager supports property maintenance teams by driving preventative maintenance programs, optimizing building systems performance, and promoting consistent maintenance practices across the portfolio. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, extensive technical knowledge of hotel operations and building systems, and the ability to travel regularly to support property-level operations, projects, and compliance initiatives.
This position is ideally based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, or Fort St. John, British Columbia. Consideration may also be given to candidates based in Edmonton or Calgary based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Regular travel throughout the region is required to support property operations.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across several properties.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach and support property-level teams.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Technical certifications or trade background considered an asset.
- Hospitality maintenance experience an asset.
- Experience with compliance requirements.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry or multi-site facilities environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and capital projects.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Oversight and Operations
- Provide regional maintenance oversight and operational support to multiple hotel properties.
- Support hotel teams in implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety system issues.
- Monitor property condition and identify maintenance priorities and capital improvement opportunities.
- Ensure maintenance standards are consistently executed across the portfolio.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards, brand requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Support risk management initiatives related to life safety systems, workplace safety, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist properties in maintaining accurate maintenance records, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Identify and address potential operational or safety risks proactively.
Project Management
- Coordinate and oversee renovation projects, repairs, and capital improvement initiatives.
- Obtain competitive quotes and assist in contractor/vendor selection.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality of work.
- Collaborate with Operations and Ownership teams on project planning and execution.
Vendor and Contractor Management
- Establish and maintain relationships with local trades, service providers, and contractors across various markets.
- Negotiate pricing and coordinate service agreements where appropriate.
- Ensure vendors meet company expectations regarding quality, responsiveness, and safety standards.
Team Leadership and Support
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to on-site maintenance personnel.
- Assist with training and development of junior maintenance staff.
- Promote best practices in preventative maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Support recruitment and performance management efforts when required.
Emergency Response
- Respond to urgent operational issues and emergency situations as required.
- Assist properties in developing and executing emergency response plans.
- Provide after-hours support when necessary.

Compensation
This role offers a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and job-related factors.
