Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in our bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations and food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health codes
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating customer preferences and industry trends
- Lead team meetings, facilitate training sessions, and promote a positive work environment
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to uphold high service standards
- Maintain compliance with all restaurant policies, health regulations, and safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently
- Knowledge of food industry standards, restaurant operations, and hospitality best practices
- Ability to interview and select qualified staff members
- Leadership qualities that motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment
- Experience with food handling certifications and adherence to health regulations
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required; hospitality background is highly valued
Pay: $40,403.01-$67,773.13 per year
