Sr Human Resources Business Partner – Hybrid

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will leverage your strategic mindset and relationship building skillset in building strategic partnerships at all levels of the organization and implementing corporate human resource policies, including health and safety, training, organizational and employee development at the business unit level. You will also consult with employees and managers to address root causes of human resource issues and resolve employee issues with a systematic approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a trusted advisor and partner, providing advice, guidance, and support on HR matters, including employee relations, reorganizations, performance management, and change management.
Maintain HR policies and processes, Intranet, Canon’s Health and Safety and Disability Management, and other HR programs and initiatives.
Support the organization’s Human Resources’ training objectives through sourcing, developing, and facilitating training, as required.
Deliver onboarding and offboarding programs to streamline employee integrations and departures.
Participate in the development and implementation of Human Resources strategic projects.
Collaborate with the HR team to create efficiencies and process improvements, while driving Human Resources’ strategies.
Investigate sensitive and complex situations, maintain appropriate records of investigations, and advise stakeholders in the progression of such cases.
Maintain expert working knowledge of environmental factors influencing the business (i.e., HR legislation, best practices trends, etc.).

To Succeed, You will need:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
CHRP designation; CHRL considered an asset
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Human Resources Business Partner
Ability to interpret situations and apply appropriate policies and legislation
Strong computer and technical skills are required; Microsoft Office programs with a focus on Excel
Intermediate project and process management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet hard deadlines
Experience with PeopleSoft is considered an asset
French is considered an asset
