Production MIG Welder
Job Overview
IZA Design is seeking experienced MIG Welders for full-time day shifts. This position involves fabricating and repairing automotive shipping racks, equipment trailers, and custom metal products in a fast-paced production environment. Overtime may be available as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on automotive racks, trailers, and custom steel products
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding specifications
- Assemble metal components according to production instructions and technical drawings
- Operate welding, flame-cutting, grinding, and metal-finishing equipment
- Repair and reinforce metal products through welding and rework processes
- Select proper materials and welding equipment for each project
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Measure and align materials using calipers, rulers, clamps, and tape measures
- Cut, grind, and smooth metal surfaces using powered and hand tools
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain quality welding standards
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Support additional production and fabrication duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous MIG welding experience required
- Ability to accurately read tape measures and fabrication drawings
- Strong understanding of blueprints and engineering specifications
- Experience using grinders, cutting tools, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot, organize tasks, and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing environment
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Steady day shift
- Overtime available when required
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
