Full job description

Position Summary:

The Mobile Security Guard is responsible for providing 24 hours availability for mobile and foot patrol services to assigned sites in the Northumberland County area. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and sound judgment. Duties include conducting patrols, completing site inspections, preparing detailed documentation, and interacting respectfully with members of the public, including un-homed and vulnerable individuals. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to accountability, ethical conduct, and ongoing professional development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct scheduled mobile vehicle patrols and foot patrols of assigned properties
Perform site inspections to identify safety, security, and operational concerns
Monitor premises for potential risks and respond in accordance with established procedures
Accurately document all activities, observations, and incidents throughout the shift
Prepare clear, concise, and detailed incident and occurrence reports
Interact professionally and respectfully with un-homed and vulnerable persons
Apply approved de-escalation techniques when managing conflict or challenging situations
Maintain effective communication with dispatch, supervisors, and clients

Qualifications and Requirements

Valid G Driver’s License with a clear driver abstract (mandatory)
Ability to work full-time all shifts overnight, afternoon and days
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven reliability, professionalism, and sound decision-making

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Wage: $19.00-21.00 per hour, based on experience and training
Overtime compensation in accordance with applicable employment standards
