Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, customer service, and cash handling within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their experience
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Assist with food preparation, including assembling ingredients for beverages and light food items
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts

Skills

Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is a plus
Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple orders efficiently
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to perform serving, food preparation, and food service tasks with attention to detail
Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
