National Mattress is currently hiring Sales Associates for our Barrie store located at:

35 Lennox Dr.

Barrie, ON L4N 9V7

As a Sales Associate, you will be given the opportunity to grow and develop and to make an impact while working for a results-driven, fast-growing organization. The Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service as per company standards, working with a Point of Sale (POS) system, generating sales, merchandising, and general upkeep of the store’s cleanliness and appearance.

Other responsibilities include:

Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting, acknowledging, and re-approaching every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service;
Keeping informed on the most current promotions and advertisements;
Assisting in merchandising, displays, and maintenance of the store’s cleanliness;
Replenishing merchandise, monitoring floor stock and processing shipments;
Directing customers in locating merchandise;
Processing cash/credit/debit purchases at the register using a Point of Sale (POS) system;
Adhering to all company policies per the employee manual;
Comply with policy and regulations as per the company’s employee manual with regard to integrity and loss prevention.
Other tasks as assigned by Management.

As a successful candidate you will have the following:

Proven selling skills in a retail environment or a desire to learn;
Outstanding communication and relationship building skills;
Self-motivated and driven with a focus for excellent guest service;
Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs;
Ability to lift up to 50lbs of merchandise;
Must be flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends;
Completion of High School; post-secondary education preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 + Biweekly performance bonus

Full company benefits (i.e. health and dental) apply after a probation period of 3 months.
