We are currently recruiting for a Metal Fabricator for our London based client where health and safety is their business! Job Description:
Fabricate using detailed drawing plans, and/or other documents that pertain to the manufacture and erection of steel members, steel stairs, steel guardrails, and structural steel. Working with welding processes such as MIG and TIG welding. Working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Ability to setup and operate welding and metal shaping equipment including but not limited to, saws (coldsaw and bandsaw) shear, brake, grinders, notches, rollers, drill press and flame torch cutter.
Duties:
- Ensure all tasks are performed within allotted time and in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures
- Grinding and finishing complete product
- Provide basic maintenance to welding and forming equipment
- Ability to operate a Forklift
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
- Recognize any changes in drawings and communicate such changes to project managers and detailers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work in a team environment and under minimum supervision
- Must be analytical, organized, detail oriented and have an outstanding ability to multitask
