Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Material Handler-Totes to join the team in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Position: Material Handler-Totes – Logoplaste Edmonton (CA)
Reporting to: Team Leader
This is full-time position that requires an individual that is self-motivated, willing to learn, and has a great attitude. Logoplaste Edmonton is a 24/7 manufacturing operation with a total of 42 employees.
Hours of Work:
Hours of work will be twelve (12) hours per day, four (4) days per rotation, in accordance with the following schedule: 7am to 7pm (for two (2) days) and 7pm to 7am (for two (2) nights) followed by four (4) days off.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work to Health & Safety, Hygiene, & Housekeeping procedures within the workplace
- Ensure Quality standards are met, and quality issues are reported
- Ensure finished goods are accurately labelled and packaged in accordance with finished product procedures
- Ensure that product movement complies with the first in first out rotation
- communicate with Lead material Handler in regard to totes required
- Ensure that Pallets/Totes are clean and sufficient for packaging.
- Assembling Pallets/Totes and inspecting for defects that could affect shipping/movement of products
- Product Inspection, Inspect and be aware of the finished product and question any defects noticed and report to the Quality department or the Team Leader
- Communicate with Lead material Handler regarding storage of finished product and placed accurately for movement into warehouse
- Rework products
- Maintain clean work area
- Any duties required by the management of the business
- Fill out completely and accurately all required forms
- Operate manual and powered pallet jacks
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Forklift experience an asset
- Must be able to read and understand written instructions
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to work with others and give directions as required
- Perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible
- Must be able to problem solve, if needed
- Work steadily and safely in a fast-paced environment
- Assist the team in all areas as needed
- Basic computer skills

After completing 90 days of employment employee will be eligible to register for the benefits program. After completing 6 consecutive months with the company, employee can register for Registered Pension Plan (optional) – the company contributes up to 4% of the employee’s contribution for the year.
Annual Discretionary Bonus
The Company may provide an annual discretionary bonus to you where you have met your individual performance objectives as set out by the Company. In addition to your individual performance objectives, your bonus will be based on the Company’s overall profitability.

$21.00/hr
Additional $1.50/hr for night shift hours.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
To ensure a safe work environment, all team members must wear mandatory, approved PPE while on site.
- Footwear: CSA-approved safety boots (Candidate-owned).
- Eyewear: CSA-approved safety glasses (Provided by company).
- Headwear: Bump caps or hardhats (Provided by company).
- Handwear: Various gloves (Provided by company).
- Hearing protection: Chorded earplugs or earmuffs (Provided by company).
- Visibility: High-visibility safety vests (Provided by company).
- Hygiene: Hair nets and beard nets, if applicable (Provided by company).
Boot Allowance Benefit:
The company provides a $150 annual contribution toward your CSA-approved work boots to help cover costs. All other required PPE is fully supplied by the company on your first day.
